Why grouping by topic helps
A verb and particle can carry several meanings. An alphabetical list places similar forms together but does not show where they are used. A themed deck supplies context, so expressions in one session relate to the same situation.
The goal is not to “finish all phrasal verbs”. It is to make specific meanings available for comprehension and your own speech.
How to study the decks
- Choose one situation that matters now.
- Begin with EN → RU comprehension.
- Add RU → EN to practise producing the expression.
- Rate each card by the quality of actual recall.
- Add your own example or clarify the translation when one meaning remains difficult.
The combined collection
The section also includes “All Phrasal Verbs”: all 225 cards in one place. It is useful for broad practice, but the smaller themed decks are a better starting point because context stays clear and the daily queue remains manageable.
Counts and deck names are current as of 19 August 2026.
